It’s 7am and the sun isn’t even up yet – winter really is not agreeing with me. Thankfully we leave for Europe on Friday and apparently the sun is up in Berlin at 4:30 in the morning. Hooray!
Do you also need at least two cuppa’s to face the dark and cold world? Then you are going to love this packaging from Douwe Egberts – Simply divine.

Okay, time for another Branding Love experience – it’s no secret that I have a soft spot for amazing packaging, and this Branding Love installment is my latest “wish I had done that” moment: Mary Wong designed by Made By Fork.
Mary Wong is a chain of Noodle Bars found in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don. Their Asian and American flavour combinations are cleverly reflected in the fresh and clean design aesthetic.
I love the simplicity of the typography and the naivety of the illustrations. All in all a really gorgeous execution.
I have been so busy with client work lately that I have to admit to neglecting my own CI (isnt that always the case!). So to get the creative juices flowing I thought it might be fun to mockup my personal design logo in a “real life” stationery kind of set up. I found loads of free blank photoshop files online into which you can drop your own logo and instantly see your brand in a real life setup – no fancy printing and photography, so nifty.
Here is a sneak peak of a quick set up I did recently – I love how it came out. Sadly the quality of the original photoshop file I used to create the environment is not up to scratch (I am a perfectionist), but I have my eyes on other, much more professional, setups which I will make use of in future.
I am so excited to try out this “virtual environment” for all my new branding clients – I am sure this will go a long way to enhance the overall branding experience.
