Wise Words

If you, like me, are having a crazy week and can’t seem to find time to pause and breathe, then here is a little mid week motivation to keep your spirits lifted and your heart pointed in the right direction.

I am afraid I cannot find any solid reference as to who’s quote it is and who did the lettering, but it seems so relevant that I simply had to post it. If you know more about its origins then please let me know.

Have a happy and productive Wednesday folks.

Wise Wiords

Always be yourself

Wow – Thursday has arrived already! Although I love short weeks and the prospect of the weekend being around the corner is very appealing, I can’t help but think that time is flying by way too fast (okay, now I sound like my Gran).

Perhaps John Mayer coined it better: “Stop this train I want to get off and go home again, I can’t take the speed it’s moving in, I know I can’t but honestly won’t someone stop this train”

Anyhow, if you are also feeling a little rushed and out of steam – here are some wise words to keep you on track, and if that doesn’t work, there is a poster with some cats riding bikes to get you going again.

Thanks to the clever WEAREYAWN for the motivation.

Wise Words to end your week on

The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster and I am feeling a little battered and bruised.
Today Gandhi’s words couldn’t be any more true – you must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Wise words to start your week with

Molly Jacques

Monday mornings can be very overwhelming, what with a blur of meetings, project goals and looming deadlines, things always seem mad. I find it helps to sit down with a cup of tea and plan my week ahead, on paper. Somehow, writing things down, prioritising work and scheduling “other” stuff (like laundry and grocery shopping), makes me feel a little more balanced and in control.

How do you get your week going? How do you get motivated on a Monday. I would love to know.

I though these wise words would work well for first thing on a Monday. They are beautifully penned by the talented Molly Jacques. You can lots of her gorgeous work here

Words to end your week on

This week’s wise words are from an old favourite of mine, Sean McCabe – his hand lettering is so inspiring.
If you, like me, melt at the sight of gorgeously penned typography then you really should follow him on Instagram too. This guy is a genius! I love his work (even though he does make the inside of my moleskin look like a preschooler’s scribble pad)
