Pretty Hair Clips

Going through old photos on my camera, I stumbled upon this shot I took of a parcel that arrived from Nadia of Cupcake Couture at the end of last year. I had ordered a bunch of clips to give as Christmas gifts to the girls in my family. Aren’t they just so pretty?
I must admit that I landed up giving away only two and hogging the other two for myself.

I love Clips

Bunny Ears

As promised, here is my new Rabito iPhone cover. Aren’t the bunny ears just adorable? It also comes with a fluffy tail which you can use to prop your phone up with, but it looks very VERY cheesy, even I can’t bear to leave it attached.

Weekend Prettiness

Magpie Must Haves

This past weekend was an excellent shopping weekend. I wasn’t planning on it, it just happened. The best part of it was that none of my purchases where over R130! Now that is perfection.

1. The pink suede brogues are from Mr Price, aren’t they adorable? Alexis bought himself a similar pair from the men’s range, only his are a manly grey colour… very smart.

2. The glamorous heart shaped rose print earrings are also from Mr Price. You can always rely on Mr Price’s accessory range to cheer you up with something pretty and inexpensive.

3. Finally the scarf is from Old Khaki. Alexis bought it for me (isnt he a sweetie?) I love LOVE the blue link pattern on it and its so soft and gorgeous. What a pity its been so terribly hot, I am dying to wear it.

I also bought the silliest cover for my iPhone. It is white and has the cutest bunny ears. Okay, it is perhaps a little embarrassing, but it makes me smile and has made me fall in love with my old 3Gs all over again (constantly coveting hubby’s new iPhone is getting boring). Promise to post a pic of it later.

Hello Sailor

This summer is going to be a gorgeous one (even if it starts off a little white and anemic). Unfortunately my swimming atire is going to have to retire this year. It simply wont do anymore! Sorry trusty bikini, your Hawaiian inspired embroidery is looking a little ho-hum.

Summer 2011 is going to be all about endless sun drenched afternoons spent gracing the deck of a sail boat, with nothing but the salty smell of the ocean air and endless ice cold jugs of Pimms for distraction.

Okay – I am not quite going to make it onboard a yacht cruising the Mediterranean, but I can just about smell the ocean from my house (or is that the harbor?) and as for the Pimms, well this I can definitely do!

Thankfully, aspiring to live the highlife can, of course, be enhanced with the right apparel. This year there are such adorable swimsuits out there (hopefully we will see similar in SA), I just need to get my hands one! Perhaps a gorgeous vintage inspired bather or a suitably sailor’ish two piece. I can just picture it, languishing under a huge brolly, wearing an enormously oversized straw hat, sipping a Pimms and reading a good book.

Summer, please come and stay!

Papa Stour

I am very surprised I haven’t put up something from Papa Stour already, they have been a favorite bookmark of mine for sometime. I love attention to detail and there is plenty to pick from here.

This beautiful scarf has a really lovely bird detail and is made from Harris Tweed.

this corsage is made from 100% felted lambs wool and is intricately detailed.

This is my all time favorite piece, a silver bangle lined with brilliant red felt and an exquisite leaf detail. Truly divine!
